Comfy Weekenders!

It's the weekend!

I had a reasonable night's sleep!

And the weather is fine!

It's still two weeks until the official start of Spring here but today I'm pulling out something "spring-ish" to wear out in the gorgeous sunshine! How lovely are these shoes - comfy and perfect for the "in-between" weather. They're custom made to fit in your choice of fabrics by HydraHeart

I'm so tired...

It has been such a long week... my workload has been intense and to top it off I've had a persistent cough which is allowing me a maximum of 4 hours sleep a night. I can hardly keep my eyes open long enough to write this post... I wish I had some of these pillows upon which I could lay my weary head...

What is the name of this shop?

It's across the road from Bird Textile's Emporium on Cleveland Street in Surry Hills Sydney.

It has bowls of vintage lightbulbs, vintage street signs, a ceiling full of hanging bird cages, old printing blocks, jars, world globes...

it's basically a shop full of loveliness

...

I visited during SID and forgot to take a business card!

PS - I keep all of my Christmas decorations in a suitacase just like the suitcase second from the top (although it is olive in colour rather than tan) "vintage" courtesy of Nanna R's luggage collection

Carpet (with champagne, cheese and chocolate)

Last year our Brintons Rep came in to show the new Timorous Beasties collection. I've used TBs wallpaper before in the Coopers 1862 Bar (Adelaide Airport) and recently in an ABC Radio project. I really like their use of graphics and colour. I'm quite a fan of their quirky designs and I was very excited to see their carpets in the flesh. Tonight I saw very large pieces of the above and they are quite fabulous (especially when viewed with champagne, french cheese and Haighs chocolate - the 3 Cs!)

The last image (Iguana) has been / is being installed at the General Havelock Hotel right here in Adelaide (not sure which colourway but I'm sure it's striking.) Gotta pop in an have a look!

Sporadic Surprise (a side note added 14th Aug 2009:) I won the door prize at the function and it's a $100 voucher to the Havelock so I'll definitely be checking out the Iguana's now!!

wine and pears - what a wonderful combination!

I have been following Tea for Joy for a while now - it is a most beautiful blog! Lynne has opened a little shop called papermash where she sells the below wine tags amongst a lot of other lovely stationery items.

This would both satisfy my love for letter pressed stationery and lovely paper stock. How perfect they would be to give to the members of my family who work in Wineries or my husband's vineyard owning, wine making family members {tongue in cheek of course cos if you don't know about the wine just pretend you do... yes it tastes like berries or oak or honey...}

On another note - I found glimpse of style's blog {via tea for joy} and Lee is a fellow pear collector!!! Look at this gorgeous pear sculpture she found from Willie Wildlife Sculptures. This would be the pe{a}rfect addition to my collection!
